History

Over the past 15 years, Mellie Goolsby Mathis has gained experience in human capital, talent management, and resource utilization.  Starting her career with Arthur Andersen in HR Operations for the Audit division that included 350 people, Mellie ultimately managed a team who was responsible for resource management, talent acquisition, performance management, promotions, and compensation.  After nine years with an organization that Mellie had been truly passionate about, Arthur Andersen had to close down the US offices in 2002.  Almost immediately, she received a call from a past Andersen colleague to assist another professional services firm in developing their first “Resource Management and Utilization Model”.  After finishing that project, Mellie was referred to a small manufacturing company in Plano to act as the entire HR department from “A to Z” on a contract basis while also performing recruiting assistance to other clients.  Having spent approximately 3 years consulting for multiple businesses, Mellie created MGM Consulting now called MGM Advisory Services.

Mellie has also been employed on a full time basis with several other organizations including Ajilon Executive Search; Targetbase, an Omnicom Company; Grant Thornton; and Affiliated Computer Services, A Xerox Company.
